The Under 14s continued their good run in the cup with a 33-14 win against a strong Billericay side today. The team scored early through number 8 Daniel Moorey, taking three of the Billericay lads with him across the line. Centre Lennie Hough scored the second as a space opened up in the opposition defence, sending Old Coops into halftime with a 12-0 lead.

Both teams upped their work rate in the second half, with the visitors awarded a penalty try, and then full back Jayden Singh Bal increasing our lead. A second try for Billericay and then both Singh Bal and Hough adding a try each rounded off a well earned victory for the boys.

Another fine game for the spectator with tireless rucking and tackling from Daniel Taplin and Jayden Wilkinson who share the Man of the Match plaudits. Old Coops worked hard in defence to turn the ball over, leading to us using the ball more effectively which made the difference today.
